Legion movie review

You can easily access the Legion movie review online or through the newspapers too. The movie starts in Rome, 476 AD where the Roman Empire is being threatened. Basically there has been a mighty force for almost 500 years, which has ruled at its height and so Rome’s power spread from Mesopotamia in the east to the Iberian Peninsula in the west. The empire has also spread from the Rhine and Danube in the north to Egypt in the south. The Legion movie review helps you to know the story following the gripping capture of young Romulus Augustus.

The Legion movie review deals with the story of the eve of twelve-year-old Romulus Augustus’ crowning ceremony to become the new emperor, Barbarian general Odoacer played by Peter Mullan. He comes in Rome to make a deal with Orestes, played by Iain Glen. Odoacer is all set to make demands of the Roman Empire in fair exchange for his decade-long support of the Roman legions in the east. However, the mighty Orestes refuses and on the day of the Coronation, as all of Rome gathers to watch the proceedings, Ambrosinus, who is also the shaman who is a mentor and tutor to Romulus, predicts danger.

Orestes begins to get worried about his son’s safety and appoints Aurelius of the fourth legion to be his private guard. The same night Aurelius and his legionnaires confront danger about Odoacer and his army returning to Rome. There is a deafening roar, and the Barbarian army storms the city. As the battle ensues, the brutal invaders show no mercy and blood flows through the streets. Orestes gets slaughtered, and Romulus is captured along with Ambrosinus. He is taken to the island fortress of Capri where he finds the mythical sword of Caesar that holds the prophecy of “One edge to defend, one to defeat; …to fit the hand of he...who is destined to rule.” The Legion movie review is based on the mighty war.

The Legion movie review focuses on how not all of the Roman legionnaires are dead. The guard, Aurelius is alive and knows that the Byzantine Empire will give Romulus sanctuary. As they embark on a journey to the coast, they are accompanied by a small group of his men and a mysterious, black-clad Byzantine warrior. Aurelius discovers much later that what lies behind the black clothing is actually a beautiful, young woman named Mira played by Aishwarya Rai, and now they have to find the one legion still loyal to Rome for the ninth legion in Britannia.
