Gates of Vienna News Feed 12/10/2010The European Union has dropped its requirement that member states label meats as halal — i.e., that the animals had been slaughtered without being stunned first. Presumably meat destined for Muslim markets will be so labeled, but kafir customers will not be able to tell if their purchases are halal or not.

In other news, “golliwog” dolls have been removed from displays by an Australian retailer to avoid offending Oprah Winfrey, who is planning a visit.
