The Babri Masjid (the 16th century mosque in U.P. state ,which was considred unholy my muslims themselves) was demolished on December 6, 1992, by karsevaks and right-wing extremists who claiming it as the Ram Janmabhoomi site.And this had triggered worst religious riots since partition in 1947, and some 2,000 people died.The case over mosque in Uttar Pradesh is one of the biggest security challenges in India this year.The Supreme Court will meet on Sept. 28 to decide on the appeal.The date of the actual verdict by the high court — originally due on Friday — was now unclear.The central government has banned public meetings in the state and bulk mobile text messages that could be used by extreme elements for igniting communal passions,spreading rumours and plan riots.
