Salt Movie Review – “Salt,” the new highly anticipated Angelina Jolie movie, is the definition of a summer Blockbuster. The excitement and action are there, and “Salt” delivers in every way that you would expect it to. If you are looking for realism, the movie is probably not for you. There are not that many realistic scenes in the movie, and the entire plot is fairly implausible like most Hollywood action films.
If you can look past the lack of realism, the movie is a good one. In the film Angelina Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, a CIA operative who works for a petroleum company in Washington DC. One day while she is leaving work, she is called back into the building after a Soviet defector claims that he has information about a mole in the CIA.
The person that he names is no other than Evelyn Salt. Salt is sat down for questioning and she denies the claims that were made by the Russian defector. However, she believes that the move may be a plot to allow the Russians to kill her husband, so she slips out of the building to go make sure that he is safe. This makes her an instant suspect, and the hunt is one.A good friend of hers where she works, Ted, does not believe that she is a double agent, but is unable to convince other co-workers of this. Salt is like a female Jason Bourne, only not as interesting.“Salt” is a solid summer popcorn movie, and is one that you can take the family to. There is a lot of action, but ultimately the movie comes off as very unrealistic.Salt Movie is an interesting feature that movie fans should see.
