Rep. Charlie Rangel (Plutocrat, NY) has been reported out of the House Ethics Committee as guilty of several major ethics violations, including those four rent-controlled Manhattan apartments that everyone has known about for years but didn’t much care about until the Democrat hold on the House was in jeopardy. Mr. Rangel’s future remains uncertain at this point.
In other news, a retailer in Britain pulled the plastic figurine of a pig from a toy farm set, concerned that it might offend the sensibilities of Muslims “and Jews”. The set retained a wallow, a sty, and a button which went “oink” when pressed — but no piggie. Customers were informed that they could order the missing pig from the store’s website at no extra charge.
